Gülşen Kutlu Biography
Turkish Folk Music’s precious artist Gülşen Kutlu was born in the municipality of Şereflihisar of Ankara.
After her elementary, junior high and high school graduation, she won the nation wide (Ankara, İzmir, İstanbul) contest of TRT which concentrated on coaching vocal artists.
She took literature, theoretical, note, solfegé, repertory, diction, and vocal care and usage lessons from the precious teachers of TRT who are also artists and educators. Beside her education on TRT, she also got phonetic and vocal education lessons from Dr. Erol BELGIN.
When she achieved to win the regular vocal artists competition as first place, she started her art career with contributing the Radio and TV programmes.
Meanwhile, she graduated from Public Relations department pf Anadolu University.
She presented lots of TV programmes such as “ALLI TURNAM” beside hundreds of concerts which were broadcasted by TRT on TVs. and radios.
Gülşen Kutlu also shared her art life with her supporters and fans by making TV & Radio shows, public concerts and six very special music albums.
She presented Turkey as a successful Turkish Folk Music artist in countries like Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Jordan.
Artist was retired in 2008 from Turkey Radio and Television Institution.
Miss Kutlu endures her career on TV programmes, public concerts as a vocal artist.
She has a daughter and her zodiac sign is cancer. She likes to read books, looking after children, pets and flowers.

Achievements:
1. TRT music award for the folkloric song of “Sultanım” in 1990.

Are only a few of her hundreds of awards.
Her main philosophy is staying loyal to Anatolia’s local music which is Turkish Folk Music and her aim is transferring this beautiful culture to the next generations. Gülşen Kutlu has been always a good example to Anatolian Music.
